The best way to Align a Crankshaft Position Sensor
1Park the vehicle on a flat Vehicle Diagnostic equipment, level surface and apply the parking brake. Leave the engine idling.
2Plug an automotive scan tool's data connector into the vehicle's diagnostic data port. The diagnostic data port on most cars is located underneath the dashboard Auto code scanner, on the driver's side in the vehicle, close to the pedal and steering column location.
3Turn on the scan tool and decide on "Special Functions" from its principal menu. Pick "CKP Alignment Process." Wait whilst the scan tool performs the alignment procedure. The scan tool will automatically raise and reduce the vehicle's idle for 1 to two minutes.
4Disconnect the scan tool from the car and operate it as typical.
